...How Can They?...

This is a poem I just wrote about the 30%ers (those who still support Bush).


How can they close their eyes?
Then dare to defend
All his blatant lies
And support a war with no end
How can they stand by this man?
This "cowboy", so reckless and wild
He can’t relate or understand
How it's like to bury his child
And he says, “We must win”
That our only option is “victory”
As he ignores a soldier’s coffin
How can they not see?
What he’s done to this great land
Turning us into the world’s enemy
With blood on our hands
And not showing our humanity
How can they ignore
Him taking our rights away
Do they even care anymore?
